Darren Daulton, thin blue sharpie, 2004 Topps All-Time Fan Favorites Certified Autographed Issue baseball card that is a re-print of one of his early-90s Topps cards, I pulled this card from a pack of Topps All-Time Fan Favorites that I got at Don’s Sports Cards for $5. This is a really sweet card (even though Darren has a mullet in the photo on the front!!!), and it is my first autographed card that I’ve pulled from a pack (that wasn’t a “guaranteed” pack).

 

Jimmy Rollins, thick blue sharpie, 2002 Topps Series 2 Certified Autograph Edition, I pulled this card from a pack of 2002 Topps Series 2 that cost a $1.50 that I bought at Don’s Sportscards Center. This is a wicked nice card, and getting this makes up for the $12.50 that I spent on two packs, trying to get an autograph (even though I didn’t get anything except for a Dwight Gooden card #ed to 1985).

The question was who has the most World Series rings (dead or alive)? I guessed Yogi Berra with ten, I got it right, and I was sent this photo in a little more than a week!

Each is individually numbered in thin blue sharpie on the bottom to 1000 (I have numbers 729, 738-740), and has a COA from Signature Rookies on the photograph. I got these as a present from Paul at Don’s while doing a little spring cleaning!

 

Mo Vaughn “To B.J., all the best,” thick black sharpie, signed 1995 Boston Red Sox official yearbook with him and Jose Canseco on the cover. I got these as a present from Paul at Don’s while doing a little spring cleaning!

I got this card for free as a present from Don at Don’s Sportscard center, and although this item is not authenticated, it came from a very reliable source.

 

Richie Ashburn preceded by “To Don,” thin blue ink pen, 1989 Bowman send-in contest that has a picture of Richie’s 1949 Bowman card on the front. I got this card as a present from Don’s, and although it doesn’t have a COA with it, I can almost guarantee its authenticity since it came from a very well-trusted source.

Tim Clark, thin fading black pen, 1994 Topps Prospects, my dad’s friend gave this to me, and he received it in person at spring training.

 

Jeff McNeely, thick blue sharpie with “1931/6000” signed after his name, a 1995 T-96 Old Judge Series autographed mini (2”x3”) card individually #ed by him (1931/6000). Paul from Don’s gave this card to me as a present.

 

Mike Phillips, thin blue ink pen, a signed 4”x5” black and white photograph of himself that Paul from Don’s gave to me as a present.

 

Mo Vaughn, thick black sharpie, signature on a 1990 Score card #675, the card is in a clear case and the case is taped to a thick 6”x8” wooden plaque with the card on one side and “Mo Vaughn #42 Boston Red Sox” engraved on the other side, I received this card as a gift from Don’s Sports Card Center for being the “Employee of the Month.” Narrow race too, I finally pulled away beating the one other employee: Don, himself. The autograph was obtained in-person by one of the customers who sold it to Don.

 

Rico Petrocelli, thick black sharpie, baseball, my friend got this in person at a signing and gave it to me.

 

Autographs that I have Gotten Through Trades

Warren Spahn and Johnny Sain, both signed in thick black sharpie, signed color 8”x10” photograph that has a picture of Warren Spahn and Johnny Sain from about four inches up from the photo’s bottom, and then below that it had written in a black banner “Spahn & Sain and Pray for Rain.” Below that it says “1948 World Series Pitchers Warren Spahn Johnny Sain Value City Department Stores.” I got this autographed photograph through a trade where I traded signed baseball cards of Barry Zito, Jacque Jones, Al Leiter and Jamie Moyer, and I got this photograph and an un-signed Kevin Youkilis card. The person that I traded with got the Spahn/Sain photograph in-person at what I believe was a signing that Value City Department Stores hosted.

 

Jose Reyes, thin blue sharpie, 2003 Topps 205 Certified Autographed Card. I traded my little sister a Troy Glaus bat card for this.

 

Bernie Williams, thin black sharpie with “SDG” written under his name, 1992 Upper Deck, I got this card through a trade with someone over the internet that sent my Jason Allison Classic 1993 Hockey Draft card over to him.
