FCPS is a unique model designed to provide special support to non-custodial fathers. These fathers are often involved in the early years of their children’s lives; however, due to a variety of reasons, these fathers are not always able to continue the relationship with their children.  This change in the father/child relationship can often have a negative impact on the overall development of their children. We hope that by delivering a Fatherhood Development program that addresses the specific needs of these fathers, we can have some impact in reversing this trend and partner with these fathers to build stronger, healthier families.

The FCPS program provides a safe and warm environment for fathers to learn: responsible fatherhood, through a series of workshops, guest speakers, peer support groups and relationship building between parents and healthy child development.

In addition to offering parenting classes, FRH will also help support FCPS participants with their legal needs by explaining the different legal processes relating to fatherhood.  Legal services are provided by the San Francisco Office of the Family Law Facilitator.   For more details, please click on the link for Supportive Legal Services.
