FCPS is a
unique model designed to provide special support to non-custodial fathers.
These fathers are often involved in the early years of their children’s
lives; however, due to a variety of reasons, these fathers are not always able
to continue the relationship with their children. This change in the father/child relationship can often have
a negative impact on the overall development of their children. We hope that by
delivering a Fatherhood Development
program that addresses the specific needs of these fathers, we can have some
impact in reversing this trend and partner with these fathers to build
stronger, healthier families.
The FCPS program provides a safe and warm
environment for fathers to learn: responsible fatherhood, through a series of workshops,
guest speakers, peer support groups and relationship building between parents
and healthy child development.
In addition
to offering parenting classes, FRH will also help support FCPS participants
with their legal needs by explaining the different legal processes relating to
fatherhood. Legal services are
provided by the San Francisco Office of the Family Law Facilitator. For more details, please click on
